19th century cushioned Venetian mirror with layered glass frame. The outer band of the frame is decorated with dainty scallop cut edges and the inner band with alternating large and small scallop cuts. At each corner a fanned glass leaf holds the sections in place and the mirror's central glass is bevelled. There is just a very little light age in the edges of the frame and the mirror gives an excellent reflection and can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape. We found a label inside this mirror showing it was originally purchased from a shop in Paris (see photo).
