Late 19th century Venetian margin mirror with outset corners superbly etched with a splash of flowers and leaves, bordered with a narrow frame decorated with scallop cut edges and central bubbles. The inner, oval frame has dainty scallop cut edges with a central line of bubbles and the two frames are linked at each quarter with wide, etched, fan shaped leaves. Smaller leaves and flowers with glass flower-topped screws secure all the joining pieces and the central, bevelled, mercury glass is in very good condition with just a little age and sparkles. This lovely mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
