1960s lucite and brass framed mirror by USA designer Charles Hollis Jones known for introducing upmarket, stylish furniture using acrylic and plastic which became very popular, high fashion items in the 1960s for the rich and famous - including Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and Tennessee Williams amongst others. The lucite sections of the frame are squared but angled with one edge facing forward and the brass corners and inner frame edge have an attractive dark patina. The original mirror plate is in excellent condition. Originally from a house in Paris, this mirror was bought at auction in Biarritz.
