Unusual and rare early 19th century Venetian mirror the lower, rectangular section of which has scallop cut edged frames decorated with a geometric design of stepped intercrossing lines and secured at each corner with a glass acanthus leaf decorated with a star and leaf design. The upper part of the mirror, or fronton, is framed at the sides with curving glass leaf shapes, gradually narrowing towards the top. Each section of this frame is secured with simplified glass flowers and little diamonte cut glass topped screws secure all the sections of this mirror. Every part of the mirror is made from mercury glass which has some age but sparkles and gives and good reflection.
