Exceptionally large and very magnificent, antique, cushioned, octagonal, mercury glass Venetian mirror, circa 1840. The layered frame has a delicate flower and leaf design beautifully etched on each central panel which is set within scallop cut edged frames, all held in place with simplified glass acanthus leaves. Each joining piece is secured with little diamond-cut glass topped screws. The central, bevelled glass is in excellent condition for its age and gives a very good reflection. This mirror would make a stunning addition to any room and is a very rare find.
