Pair of decorative, cushioned, Venetian mirrors from the late 19th century with layered glass frames. The central panel is etched with a flower and leaf design and with the inner and outer frames have delicate scallop cut edges with a central circular decoration. The frames are joined at each corner and mid-way down the long sides with glass leaves and flowers. The top of each mirror has a wide cartouche of open, scrolling, acanthus leaves with a central flower and leaf etched oval within a shield shape and both mirrors have bevelled central glass. There is a little age in the mirrors, mostly in the frames and decoration, but the reflection is clear and they could be used to stunning effect over a pair of bathroom basins. There are minor stylistic differences between the mirrors which allows them to be identified individually.
