Late 19th century, portrait, Venetian mirror with re-entrant upper corners, a curved top and high, decorative cartouche. The mirror's frames have alternating long and short scallop cut edges on the outside and small scallop cut edges on the inside with an etched central design of flowers and leaves. Curling acanthus leaves form the cartouche which has a central oval decorated with a little spray of flowers. There is a little age in the form of some dark spots in the corner pieces and frame along the bottom edge but the bevelled, central glass and the rest of the mirror has only very light age and gives an excellent reflection. A lovely, original mirror which would make an excellent full-length mirror.
