Antique French mirror, circa 1820, with gilt rippled frame. After around 200 years, the gilding has thinned and darkened giving the frame a brown/gold appearance and with hints of terracotta and cream showing through. The original mercury glass has light age but still gives a good reflection and this versatile mirror can be hung portrait, as photographed, or landscape.
