Antique French mirror, circa 1840, with wide gilt frame which has a raised outcurving ropetwist section between undulating edges. At each corner there is a diagonal delicate floral spray. The original, mercury glass has a little age, mostly around the outer edges of the mirror but gives an excellent reflection. This handsome mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
