Dimensions:
Antique French oval mirror, circa 1840, with deeply curved gilt frame, beautifully and delicately etched with curled narrow leaves, stems and sprays of flowers. A row of beading runs around the sight edge (edge closest to the glass). Some of the etched decoration has been burnished, allowing the detail to shine and be seen more easily. The original mercury plate has just a little light age but gives an excellent reflection.
