Early 19th century French archtop mirror with outcuving watergilt frame. Where the mirror has been dusted for over 200 years, the gilding has thinned in the more reachable areas revealing the burnished, terracotta bole beneath. The original mercury mirror glass has a little age but, nevertheless, gives an excellent reflection, and sparkles where it catches the light.
