Early 19th century French cushioned gilt mirror with burnished raised half ovals beneath arched borders decorating the outer frame and alternating double beads and paired decorative husks decorating the inner frame. At each corner there is a burnished gilt, fanned acanthus leaf with outward facing curls finished with a little flower lying over the bevelled mercury glass. The central glass is also bevelled, mercury glass and has just a little age but gives a very good, clear reflection. This lovely mirror can be hung portrait, as photographed, or landscape.
