Large, antique, French gilt mirror, circa 1850, with wide reeded frame. Where this mirror has been dusted for more than 150 years, the gold leaf has thinned a little revealing the warm terracotta bole beneath. The original mirror glass has a little age but still gives an excellent reflection. This style of mirror is timeless and will work just as well in a contemporary setting as it will in an antique one.
