Very unusual late 18th century Continental mirror with soft burnt orange velvet covered frame, decorated with metal beading around the outside edge, ribbon twist along the sight edge and spaced quatrofoils between the two. Understandably, the velvet has wear and tear but is surprisingly robust and continues around the outside edges. The original mercury mirror plate is very foxed and gives an indistinct reflection.
