Square French Louis-Philippe period (1830-48) mirror with etched gilt frame decorated with leaf and flower design, a ribbon twist outer edge and a row of beading along the sight edge (closest to the glass). The orginal mercury glass has a little age in the form of a few darker areas but sparkles where it catches the light and gives a very good reflection. It is very unusual to find a square mirror and this mirror would work well as an overmantel.
