Early 19th century French mirror with narrow, outcurving, watergilt frame and double curved top with central cartouche nestling between the curves. Acanthus leaves decorate the lower and upper corners wrapping around the central decoration. Where this mirror has been cleaned for around 200 years, the gilding has thinned revealing chestnut brown bole beneath. The original mercury glass has swirls and spots of age but sparkles when it catches the light and gives and fair reflection.
