18th century French margin mirror with giltwood frames decorated with an raised, curled, acanthus leaf design. At each corner of the mirror the inner and outer frames are linked with a delicate design of curling acanthus leaves with a raised central shell. All the glass is original, mercury glass and all the side pieces are bevelled. The age is light and mainly around the outer sections with all the glass giving an excellent reflection. This very attractive mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
