19th century French mirror with wonderfully burnished undulating gilt frame. After more than 100 years of cleaning, the gold leaf has thinned revealing the terracotta bole beneath. The mirror is topped with a partly ribbon and partly rope bow with tassels over each upper corner. The original glass has just a little, very light, age and the horizontal line across the mirror is just a reflection of our blind opposite the photography wall. An unusual and stylish mirror that would work well in many different settings.
