Elegant 19th century French mirror with curved top and base between stepped corners. The watergilt frame is decorated at each corner with a curled acanthus leaf which is set at an angle to the mirror frame. The top of the mirror has a double curve with a floral and foliate cartouche nestling in the centre and the original, bevelled glass follows the shape of the design and the frame in a series of curves and right angles. There is a little, very minor, age in the central glass which gives an excellent reflection. Stamped on the reverse with the manufacturer's name Lecerre Pere & Fils (Lecerre father and son).
