Small, decorative giltwood margin mirror with narrow watergilt frames linked with a flower and leaf decoration and an imposing, acanthus leaf cartouche. Where the mirror frame has been dusted for more than one hundred years, the gilding has thinned revealing an attractive chestnut brown bole beneath. The original, mercury glass is in very good condition with minimal age, lovely sparkles and gives an excellent reflection. Continental, circa 1840.
