Late 19th century French rectangular mirror with original, silverleafed, ropetwist frame. Where the silverleaf has thinned through years of dusting, the black bole is showing through, especially along the bottom edge. The original glass has some light age in the form of tiny black dots and also a "frost fern" area along the top edge but nevertheless gives an excellent reflection. This unusual and versatile mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
