Early 19th century antique French mirror with narrow rippled frame. After around 200 years of cleaning, the original silverleaf finish has thinned revealing the warm terracotta and chestnut brown bole beneath and the edge nearest the glass has the cream gesso showing through. The original mercury glass is in good condition and sparkles when it catches the light. This mirror would work well as a full-length mirror where space is restricted.
