Late 19th century French Bistro mirror with dark pewter coloured, burnished, outcurving frame. Originally silverleafed, the frame has tarnished to a dark grey mixed with silver with most the silver around the outside edge. The silver leaf on the frame is now stablised and sealed so it will remain this colour. The original glass has a little age in the form of very light streaking but gives a good reflection and this unusual and attractive mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
