Late 19th century French archtop mirror with etched silverleaf frame decorated with etched flower and leaf design and etched acanthus leaves at each lower corner. Where the silverleaf has thinned through over 100 years, the red bole and cream gesso beneath has started to show through, giving the mirror frame an attractive patina. The original glass is in very good condition and gives an excellent reflection.
