19th century French "entre deux" mirror (a mirror that was hung between two windows) with an outcurving, silverleafed frame. Where the silverleaf has aged for more than a century, the patination has become an attractive mixture of silver, pewter and black. The original glass has some age in the form of a little spotting and freckling but nevertheless gives a good reflection. This mirror could also be hung landscape.
