Very large, 19th century French mirror, circa 1820, with decorative, gilt, palm leaf frame and high cartouche with long curled palm leaves and central circle containing suspended flowers. The cartouche is angled forward to allow this high decoration to be seen better when the mirror is hung flat against a wall. The original, mercury glass is in very good condition with a little light age and sparkles, particularly along the base. This mirror would have come from a very important French house.
