Wide antique archtop mirror with decorative edge

Mid 19th century antique French archtop mirror with wide, gilt frame with outcurving central band etched with vineleaf and stem design, beaded sight edge (the edge closest to the glass) and an alternating design of raised teardrops and delicate stems along the outside edge. Where this mirror has been dusted for nearly two centuries, some of the gilding has thinned, especially on the most raised areas, revealing the warm terracotta and cream tones beneath. The original, mercury glass is in superb condition with almost no age and a lot of sparkles.
