Black, silver and copper coloured archtop

Late 19th century French archtop mirror with partly ebonised frame with central panel of silverleaf etched with criss-cross design and acanthus leaf motif at lower corners. Where the silverleaf has thinned through years of dusting, a pale copper colour is showing through the silver, giving this mirror a particularly unusual and attractive appearance. There is a little light age in the original glass which gives a good reflection.
