This attractive 1840s French mirror has a wide frame decorated with layers of rippled and undulating pale gilt bands. The original, mercury glass has medium age but still gives a good reflection and the mirror can be hung portrait, as photographed, or landscape and would make a useful overmantel and almost any setting as it has a very contemporary look, despite being over 170 years old!
