Late 19th century gilt framed Bistro mirror

Late 19th century, rectangular, French Bistro mirror with narrow, outcurving, watergilt frame.  Through over 100 years of cleaning, the gold leaf has thinned revealing the terracotta bole beneath which gives this mirror a pleasing, warm colour. The original glass has just a little light age but gives and excellent reflection and this mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape. (The horizontal line that appears across the mirror is just a reflection of the join in our blind opposite and not a fault in the mirror.)
