Very large, magnificent and unusual, landscape, mid 19th century French panel mirror.  The original mercury mirror is framed with a gilt palm leaf decoration and has a central shell at the centre top and base. The panel background is painted a dark ochre - a blend of green, brown and mustard. This mirror would make a very unusual overmantel over a large, wide fireplace or work equally well over a sofa or wide piece of furniture.
