Spectacular antique French palm leaf framed mirror

Large, decorative antique French gilt margin mirror, circa 1840, with palm leaf outer frame topped with a high curled acanthus leaf cartouche with pierced central circle containing suspended flowers. The inner frame is beaded and the two frames are linked at each corner with a scrolling acanthus leaf design with central shield containing a queen's face.  All the glass is original, mercury glass in superb condition and the central mirror is bevelled.
