French Louis Philippe period archtop mirror (1830-48) with gilt frame decorated along the central band with interlinking diamond pattern and with a delicate beaded edge running around the glass. The gilding is a little worn on the very bottom edge, revealing the terracotta bole beneath the gold leaf, where the hung mirror will have been easier to reach for cleaning. The original, mercury glass is in very good condition with just a little wispy age and sparkles beautifully along the base and the mirror gives an excellent reflection.
