Antique French mirror with wavy frame and bow cartouche

19th century French mirror, circa 1880, with burnished, watergilt, undulating frame topped with a bow cartouche. Where the mirror has been dusted for over 100 years, the gold leaf has thinned revealing the dark terracotta bole beneath and the gilding is continued around the outside edges, making this mirror look just as good from the side. The original glass is in very good condition with just a little light age but gives an excellent reflection.
